8th grader takes career aptitude test, results say he’d be fit for working in gambling: ‘Bookie was never a career choice when I took these tests in high school’

I feel like everyone has taken a career aptitude test at some point in their educational career. I know I took one for sure, but I cannot remember what I got on it. I feel like you only remember your career aptitude results if you get something like “President of the United States” or “MLB Stadium Bathroom Attendant.” 

There might be some career aptitude tests out there that can actually help you figure out what you want in your career, especially if you feel like you’re totally lost and have little prospect of a successful future in the career path you’re currently on. But most middle schoolers don’t know what career field they want to go into yet, and that’s okay! Many adults are unsure about their career path five years from now and wish they could go back to a time when a simple personality assessment could help them figure out precisely what to do with the rest of their lives. The only problem is, they might not like the answer, just like how they didn’t like the answer they got when they were 13.
