Confused Gen Z works office job, complains that they get 5 days of work done in 2: ‘Is this what life is going to be like for the next 50 years?’

The transition into the white-collar working world can sometimes be a difficult one. A fresh employee might try to focus on the positives, like a salary hike and not having to endure face-to-face customer service, but then they get rudely confronted with the joys of BCC emails and office politics. In some roles, another thing that can come as a shock is the workload. Time management is of the essence, but not always in the way that might be expected.

This is something that one Gen Z employee recently found out when they got an office job and began complaining that they weren’t being given enough work to do. Claiming that there were at least three days in the five-day week where they were trying to look busy in front of their boss, many people on the internet wondered why they weren’t trying to use their time better. It’s examples like this that make working from home look more appealing.
