Mean girls will always be mean girls. Even decades after the elementary school recess politics brainwashed the ‘cool girls’ into thinking they had to be mean in order to be well-liked, some women refused to grow out of their childish nastiness and take their sordid behavior into adulthood. To them, in order to be the queen of the blacktop at recess, you had to be cruel.

For mean girls, anything short of putting gum in another girl’s hair becomes fair game, even when you’re allegedly a mature adult. The 28-year-old in this next story discovered that her future sister-in-law was destined to be a mean girl for life after hearing about a debaucherous roasting session at the bachelorette party. 

Perhaps it’s a cruel sense of superiority that motivated the bride in this next tale to be a mean girl even in her 30s. OP (the original poster) came to Reddit with a dagger in her back with the cruel words of her future SIL wedged deep between her shoulder blades. It was reminiscent of those elementary-school-recess-queen politics as the bride was vying for the affections of the brother standing between them. But even after excluding his sister and berating her in front of everyone invited to the bachelorette, the bride still didn’t realize that being a mean girl gets you nowhere.
